Jennings County EDC Summer Internship About the Program:
The Jennings County EDC Summer Intern Team Program is a pilot initiative designed to provide students ages 16–21 with hands-on experience through the Jennings County Economic Development Commission (JCEDC) and its destination development program, Join Us in Jennings. This opportunity is ideal for students who are passionate about their community and interested in marketing, content creation, and storytelling. Interns will serve as content creators and ambassadors, helping promote Jennings County as a great place to live, learn, work, and play.
As part of the program, interns will create social media content, visit local businesses and attractions, support community events, and assist with marketing campaigns for both Join Us in Jennings and JCEDC. This role offers real-world experience in digital marketing, tourism, and community engagement while working closely with the JCEDC Executive Director
Requirements Confirmation:
- Be on site Monday to Thursday 830am to 4pm
- I have reliable transportation
- I am available for flexible hours (including evenings/weekends)
- I am comfortable creating content and/or being on camera
- I can travel throughout Jennings County
- I will represent JCEDC professionally
