GT Industries in North Vernon, Indiana announced plans to expand their location on March 14, 2022 during a North Vernon City Council meeting where they requested and received tax abatement for a $26,400,000 investment.
The company committed to invest $13,000,000 in a building expansion and $12,400,000 in new equipment purchases. GT Industries currently employs 198 associates in North Vernon with plans to hire an additional 20 full-time employees. The Indiana Economic Development Corporation also awarded $500,000 in Economic Development for Growing Economy (“EDGE”) tax credits.
GT Industries located to North Vernon, Indiana in 2016 and opened a 320,000 sq ft facility in 2017. The company provides Die Stamping, Automated Assembly, and Robotic Arc Welding. GT Industries is a company of Midway Products Group a tier 1 automotive supplier headquartered in Monroe, Michigan.
